I’m afraid I don’t know much about this old church cemetery, but it was a nice little pitstop to make as the sun set against the orange, pink, and blue splashed sky. We found many graves of veterans of the Revolutionary War and other wars along with many other old graves dating back to the 1700s. Perhaps the most famous person buried here is General William Maxwell, a Brigadier General in the Continental Army.

It was nice to stroll around this rather large cemetery and read the epitaphs on the old stones.

“Let worms devour my wasting flesh / And crumble all my bones to dust / My God will raise my frame anew / at the revival of the just.”
