Status: Maintained If not for one thing, this cemetery wouldn’t be very special and we normally wouldn’t feature it. However, it’s got one of the coolest grave markers I’ve ever seen in all of my cemetery explorations. Driving up the hill into the cemetery, we noticed a very unusual grave. So, being the curious cats that we are, we got out and inspected. It was a black cross adorned with an angel’s head and a pair of wings, but at the foot of the cross was something strange. It was a sleeping cat and a SKULL. We thought this was quite interesting for a Catholic cemetery. Other than that, it had your typical old graves from the 1800s. Many of the people laid to rest there passed very young and were Irish immigrants. - Ember, 2005 |
